The Food Administration was created by President Woodrow Wilson and then he appointed Herbert Hoover to be the CEO of the organization. In the war , food was a weapon. No other country produced more food than the Americans. The Americans also fed the other members of the Allies. Herbert Hoover designed a voluntary program. We had Meatless Mondays to save meat and ship it to the military overseas. The farmers will grow food for their own needs. Some business had a sign that said " Food will win the war ". Future President Herbert Hoover guaranteed all farmers a fair price and that there was a market overseas for all the food they can produce. After the war America not only helped the Allies but they also helped former Central Powers countries as well as the Soviet Union.
The effect of the Food Administration was we saved and produced food for our military. We also helped our partners and later on the Central Powers. We had a Meatless Mondays and No heat Wednesday to save food and energy for those who are in need. With the help of the farmers and volunteers we produce more food than the other countries. The Food Administration was very successful. The way we were able to save food and produce it.

World War 1
The four causes of World War I are imperialism, militarism, nationalism, and imperialism. Imperialism is when a bigger country takes over smaller foreign country . Alliance is when two or more countries form together to cooperate for specific reasons . Militarism is the principle or policy of maintaining a large military.establishment.Nationalism is when people have strong pride for their country and religion. The event that sparked the war was the assassination of Prince Franz Ferdinand of Austria Hungary.
The first event that dragged the U.S into the war was the sinking Lusitania. The Lusitania was a British ship. The ship was going from New York to England .The Germans sunk the Lusitania. On that ship their were 128 Americans on it. The second event was when the Germans sent a telegram to Mexico and they told the Mexicans that if they join the Germans and when they win the war that they will get California, Texas, etc. back. The Mexicans never got it because the U.S intercepted it.These were the events that got the U.S in the war.
Soon after the United States entered the war President Wilson announced Americas war . President Wilson referred the war as Fourteen Points. One of the points were that each country should have its own country. The fourteen points reduced armaments and an end to secret dealings between countries. The Treaty of Versailles was the treaty that ended World War 1. The treaty o made Germany lose territory to France and Poland and all their colonies. Germany lost its powerful navy and army. Germany had to accept blame for starting the war . Austria -Hungary was broken up into small countries. The United States didn't want to join the League of Nations. The U.S. favored the policy because they were unhappy with the huge costs of the war. I think the peace settlement caused countries to loose parts of their countries. I think what happened in the 1920s and 1930s is that the U.S probably wanted to take control of smaller countries.

Two Important Laws in U.S. History
- The 18th Amendment
- The 21st Amendment
www.whysean.com
The 18th Amendment is Prohibition of Alcohol. The law said that people can not sell alcohol and make alcohol. This law had one loop hole. It never said people could not drink the alcohol. The 21st Amendment is to cancel the 18th amendment. The law was made to cancel the 18th Amendment to cancel because no followed it the law.
The main intent of the 18th Amendment was to stop people from selling and making it. This law was cancelled 15 years later. During those times people were real alcoholic. People became out of control. So, congress had to make a law to stop this. The law was eventually cancelled. The main intent of the 21st Amendment cancelled the 18th Amendment. People were not following the 18th Amendment so the 2lst Amendment was eventually passed.
The 18th Amendment didn't really succeed. It got cancelled 15 years after the law was passed. Since no one followed the law it got cancelled. The 21st Amendment still stands to this day. This amendment looks like it is going to say around for a while.
